Nuapada: At a time when the entire world is grappling with coronavirus and thousands of people have been dying due to the virus, a 25-day-old baby boy has reportedly defeated COVID-19 in Odisha’s Nuapada district.
According to reports, the baby got infected with the deadly virus after its birth. However, the hospital staff treated him with at most care and helped him in defeating coronavirus within a week.
Meanwhile, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has hailed the doctors and healthcare staff for saving a premature baby.
“Appreciate the dedication of doctors & supporting staff in Nuapada, for successfully treating a 25-day-old baby, born prematurely who contracted COVID19. The new-born, who has been discharged from the hospital will inspire others to stay strong during the pandemic,” said Patnaik in a tweet post.
