In yesterday’s match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 played at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Gujarat Titans (GT) defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by three wickets.
Briefing about the match, Punjab Kings won the toss and opted to bat first against GT. Batting first, PBKS made 142 runs losing all wickets. Of which Prabhsimran Singh made 35 runs, Harpreet Brar made 29 runs and Sam Curran hit 20 runs. From GT’s side, Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore dropped four wickets, while Noor Ahmad and Mohit Sharma took two wickets each.
Chasing the target of 143 runs, Gujarat Titans made 146 runs losing 7 wickets. Of which Rahul Tewatia made 36 runs (not out), Shubman Gill clinched 35 runs and Sai Sudharsan made 31 runs. From PBKS’ side, Harshap Patel dropped three wickets, while Liam Livingstone took two wickets and Arshdeep Singh took one wicket.
Speaking about the point table, Gujarat Titans presently stands at sixth position with four wins and four loses, while Punjab Kings is at ninth position with two wins and six loses.
Yesterday, in the first session, Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by one run. KKR set a victory target of 223 runs for RCB, however, RCB lost all wickets at 221 runs. The match was played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Today, Rajasthan Royals (RR) will clash with Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium in Rajasthan. The match will begin at 7.30 pm.
