The Delhi Daredevils beat Rising Pune Supergiant by 7 runs to register yet another win, although they are already out of IPL 10. It was a closely fought match.
The Delhi Daredevils had posted 168/8 in 20 overs, thanks to Karun Nair (64), Rishabh Pant (36), Marlon Samuels (27). For RPS, Jaydev Unadkat and Ben Stokes took two wickets each.
Chasing a victory target of 169, RPS lost both openers cheaply. Although Steven Smith 38, Manoj Tiwary 60 and Ben Stokes 33 tried hard, others failed to keep up the momentum after their departure.
RPS finished at 161/7 in 20 overs and lost the match by 7 runs. Zaheer Khan and Mohammed Shami took two wickets each. Karun Nair was adjudged ‘Player of the Match’.
