India to tour Sri Lanka in July 2024 for 6-match white ball series after T20 World Cup
The Sri Lanka Cricket announced that India is set to tour Sri Lanka for a six match white-ball series in July 2024 after T20 World Cup.
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) shared an exciting piece of news today on November 29. The board announced that India is set to tour Sri Lanka for a six match white-ball series in July 2024. The series will include three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) following the T20 World Cup next year.
The Sri Lanka team is gearing up for a busy 2024 International Cricket calendar. They will kick off the year with a home series against Zimbabwe in the month of January with three ODIs and three T20Is. Following which, Sri Lanka will face Afghanistan in January and February, playing one test match, three ODIs, and three T20Is. The team will then embark on an all-format tour to Bangladesh before participating in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 hosted in the West Indies and the United States.
Further, other cricketing giants such as India, New Zealand, and the West Indies are also slated for FTP tours to Sri Lanka in the year 2024. However, the cricket action does not stop there for the Sri Lankan team. A three-match test series against England is on the cards in the middle of the year, with tours to South Africa and New Zealand closing out the 2024 season.
Sri Lanka Cricket’s CEO, Mr. Ashley De Silva, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming year, highlighting the constant engagement of the Sri Lanka Cricket team throughout the year.
