Team India secured a historic win against Australia, clinching the five-match T20I series and setting a new record for the most wins in T20I history. The resounding win catapulted India past arch-rivals Pakistan, marking a significant milestone in their T20 journey.

India’s comprehensive performance against Australia in Raipur resulted in a 20-run victory, sealing the series with an unassailable 3-1 lead. The team’s all-round efforts, led by contributions from various players, showcased their dominance in the T20 format.

The historic win elevated India to 136 T20I victories, surpassing Pakistan’s tally of 135 wins. This achievement underscores India’s remarkable journey in T20 cricket since its inception in 2006-07, with iconic moments such as the 2007 T20 World Cup triumph under the leadership of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma played pivotal roles in the fourth T20I, steering India to set a challenging target of 175 runs for Australia. Despite a quick start by Travis Head, Indian spinners, led by Bishnoi and star performer Axar Patel, dominated the proceedings. Patel’s brilliant spell, securing three crucial wickets for just 16 runs, played a decisive role in restricting Australia to 154 runs.

With the series already secured, India will head to Bengaluru for the final match against Australia, aiming to further fine-tune their preparations for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. The T20 World Cup, jointly hosted by the West Indies and the United States of America, presents a significant opportunity for India to vie for the title that has eluded them since the inaugural edition.
