From South African team, Kyle Verreynne made 15 runs in 30 balls while David Bedingham made 12 runs in 17 balls. From the Blue Jersey team, Mohammed Siraj took 6 wickets by given 15 runs in 9 overs, while Mukesh Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah clinched 2 wickets each.

Earlier, South Africa won the toss and opted to bat first against team India. Meanwhile, team India have made 2 changes to the XI, aiming to bounce back from the hammering in the Boxing Day Test against the Proteas.

The team has dropped Shardul Thakur from their XI and added an extra pacer in Mukesh Kumar. Additionally, Ravindra Jadeja has returned to the XI by replacing off-spinner R Ashwin.

India slumped to their third-biggest defeat against the Proteas in Tests after losing by an innings and 32 runs.
