The toss of the first Test match between India and South Africa at the Centurion has been delayed due to wet outfield.
The toss of the first Test match between India and South Africa at the Centurion has been delayed due to wet outfield. The inspection of the ground will be conducted at 10 Am local time (1:30 pm IST).
As per the forecast, there remains a 96% chance of rain during the day. It is expected that nearly Centurion will experience about four hours of rain on the match day. The area has experienced heavy rainfall for over the past couple of days.
Meanwhile, on of the eve of test match, Rohit Sharma opened up about the heartbreak after World Cup final loss. Additionally, during the press conference, the Indian captain addressed various topics, ranging from the team’s South Africa challenge to his personal preparedness for the Test assignment.
Speaking about the heartbreak, the Indian captain said, “The way we played, you expect to go an inch further. Unfortunately, we couldn’t do it. That was the hard part. You saw how we managed to play the 10 games. We didn’t do certain things well in the final and that’s why we lost. It is hard but there’s so much happening in life, so much cricket, you’ve got to find the strength. It took me time to come out but you’ve got to move on.”
“We got a lot of encouragement from the outside world and that motivated me personally to get up,” Rohit Sharma added.
