Online application for the recruitment of 3093 posts for different clusters of the Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Northern Railway is underway. The online application which has started from December 11 will continue till January 11, 2024.
As per the notification, different posts like fitter, welder (C&E), turner, mechanist, carpenter, painter (General), mechanic (diesel), mechanic (motor vehicle), electrician, wireman will be filled up during this recruitment drive.
While 1,310 posts will be filled up for the Lucknow Cluster, 420 posts will be filled up for the Ambala Cluster. Likewise, 794 posts and 569 posts will be filled up in the Delhi Cluster and Firozpur Cluster respectively.
The applicants who are between 15 years and 24 years of age with the SSC/Matriculation/10th class examination or its equivalent (under the 10+2 examination system) with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks, in aggregate, from recognised Board and must have passed ITI in relevant trade issued by NCVT/SCVT and recognised by the Government of India can apply. However, there will be relaxation in the upper age limit for the deserving candidates.
Candidates except the SC/ST/PwBD/Women category will have to pay an application fee of Rs 100.
