Jaypore: As much as Rs.9 lakh cash has been seized from Jaypore airport by the flying squad. It was caught while going from Malkagiri to Bhubaneswar, said reliable reports.
According to reliable reports, Rs. nine lakh has been seized from the airport before the general elections 2024. The Election Commission’s Special Flying Squad seized money from Jaypore Airport.
It has been reported that this money belongs to a gas company in Malkangiri’s Khairput. Flying Square checked after receiving information that a person was going to Bhubaneswar with excessive amount of money. And seized the entire money.
There is a rule that a person cannot take more than 50 thousand rupees during the period of election conduct. However, while the man was carrying Rs 9 lakh, the money was seized during the baggage screening. However, as he could not give a satisfactory answer as to where he got the money from and where he was taking it, the money was confiscated.
According to reports, Special Observers have been appointed to provide critical feedback and vigilant oversight for a level playing field during the upcoming elections.
