Cuttack: Noted Odia revolutionary poet Rabi Singh passed away at his residence in Khapuria area of Cuttack today morning. He was 89.
Late Singh was suffering from old age related sickness for past few days.
A recipient of Atibabi Jagannath Das Samman-2017 and Odisha Sahitya Akademi Award in 1961, late Singh had penned a number of poems to enrich the Odia literature during his long career.
To mention a few from the immortal collections of poetry penned by late Singh are, Bhrukuti, Bidirna, Padatika, Apritikara Kabita, Patha Prantara Kabita, Bishabani, Durgama Giri and Jhada.
