Cuttack: Orissa High Court on Tuesday registered a suo motu contempt of court case against the Joint Secretary (Academics) of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) headquarters, New Delhi Manoj Kumar Srivastav in connection with the alleged discrepancies in the publication of Class-XII exam results in the Bhubaneswar zone.
The Court filed the suo motu against Srivastav for his derogatory remarks on the order of the court over the re-evaluation of the answer sheets of the students.
The HC has directed the Joint Secretary of CBSE to reply by July 3. It has also asked the CBSE officials to re-evaluate the answer sheets of 18 students who had moved the court seeking re-evaluation.
