Odisha reports 252 Covid-19 cases including 54 children

Bhubaneswar: A total of 252 Covid-19 positive cases including 54 in the 0-18 years age group have been detected positive in Odisha in the last 24 hours.

With 252 positives, the tally rose to 10,49,597 informed the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Thursday.

Among the 252 positives, 148 are quarantine cases and 104 are local contacts. However, 186 patients recovered in the State taking the total number of 10,38,695. Currently, the active cases stands at 2434.

On the other hand, the State Health & Family Welfare Department informed about the death of two COVID infected patients, taking the death toll to 8,415 after due completion of death audit process. The list does not reflect deaths occurring on a particular day. It gives details of past deaths for which the death audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as due to Covid-19.

Details of cases confirmed as death due to Covid-19, after due completion of death audit process:

1. A 96 years old male of Bhubaneswar.

2. A 58 years old male of Jajpur District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
