Bhubaneswar, Apr 11: The Union government is mulling over the shifting of the regional offices of National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) to New Delhi.
According to the report received exclusively by Kalinga TV, the Human Resource Development Ministry may shift all four regional offices of the NCTE including that of Bhubaneswar to the national capital.
The Bhubaneswar-based regional NCTE office was looking after the teachers’ education affairs of 12 states of East-India.
NCTE is a statutory body of Indian government set up under the National Council for Teacher Education Act, 1993 to formally oversee standards, procedures and processes in the Indian education system.
