Ganja seized in two different instances in Gajapati, 3 arrested

The accused, identified as Shubham Sanjay Sonavale and Gunjan Mahadev, were arrested in connection with the Marijuana smuggling incident.

Gajapati: In a recent operation, the Mohana Police of the district caught hold of a truck carrying over 18 quintals of ganja. The truck was caught on the border of Kamalapur village of the district. The truck was carrying the ganja hidden in 54 boxes.

Reportedly, the bus was set to Solapur in Maharashtra. The weed was to be sold off for a whopping amount of 90 lakh rupees. The police arrested two accused in connection with the ganja smuggling incident. The two accused have been identified as Shubham Sanjay Sonavale and Gunjan Mahadev. The accused were trying to flee from the scene when the police caught them.

In yet another similar incident, as much as 37 quintal of ganja was confiscated by the Adava police of Gajpati district. The drug peddler involved in this case has been arrested. The mentioned quantity of the weed was reportedly worth around 1.85 crore rupees. Further details on the ganja smuggling incidents are awaited.
