India Vs Sri Lanka T20: Sudarsan welcomes Teams with Sand Art

Bhubaneswar: Noted sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik on Monday created a beautiful sand sculpture at Biju Patnaik International Airport here to welcome Indian and Sri Lankan cricket teams. The players and support staffs of both teams are slated to arrive in the city this evening for the upcoming T-20 match to be played at Barabati Stadium on December 20.

Pattnaik, through his Twitter page had said earlier that he would create a sand art during the T20 match for the first time at Barabati Stadium. He had also visited the stadium recently.

Meanwhile, DGP RP Sharma, Police Commissioner YB Khurania and other top police officials reviewed security arrangement at the stadium today.

A three-tier security has been set up for the match. As many as 63 platoons of police will be deployed in Cuttack and 18 platoons in Bhubaneswar for the smooth conduct of the match.

The Commissionerate Police conducted a carcade rehearsal from the city airport to Mayfair Hotel to escort the players and team officials yesterday.
