Over eight suspects including some women have been reportedly detained by the police in connection with the case of gold chains loot at Bomikhal Durga Puja mandap.
Bhubaneswar: Over eight suspects including some women have been reportedly detained by the police in connection with the case of gold chains loot at Bomikhal Durga Puja mandap.
According to reports, the Commissionerate Police has detained the suspects, who are said to be non-Odias, after verifying the footages of the CCTV cameras installed at the puja panel.
Cops from the Laxmisagar Police Station are reportedly checking their belonging to get some lead in the case.
It is to be noted here that some unidentified miscreants decamped with gold chains from four women devotees at Bomikhal puja mandap in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.
The miscreants snatched their gold chains weighing around 10 grams each in just 15 minutes.
Police started an investigation with the help of the puja committee after the the victims lodged separate complaints over the theft.
