Crocodile spotted on river banks in Daspalla of Odisha, locals terrified

Daspalla: A crocodile was spotted on river banks in Daspalla block in Nayagarh district of Odisha said reports in Saturday. The crocodile was spotted walking fearlessly on the river banks.

According to reliable reports, a huge crocodile was walking on the sand on the banks of the river near Kendupalli village of Daspalla block in Nayagarh district.

Seeing the crocodile, the villagers were terrified. After receiving the information, the forest department reached the spot and rescued the crocodile. Along with this, the forest department has also warned the local residents not to cross the river.

Recently a 4-foot-long reptile fell into a trap set up in Balasore district of Odisha. This led to a major crocodile scare in Balasore district.

The crocodile was rescued from the Mahapada culvert of the Dubu dubi river under the Singhla police station of Balasore district. Ther was marked tension at the scene, said reliable reporte.

It is worth mentioning here that as many as two to three crocodiles have been a terror for the locals in this river for many months. Goats and cattle were killed and eaten at regular intervals.

As a result, the people of the area were in a state of panic, said reliable reports in this regard. People said that despite repeatedly informing the forest department, no results were obtained. Today, after one crocodile got caught in the net, the villagers demanded to catch the other crocodiles.
