New Delhi: A dose of Russia’s Sputnik V Covid vaccine shall cost Rs 948 + 5% GST, informed Dr Reddy’s Laboratories. The lab manufactures the vaccine in India.
Sputnik V has an efficiency of 91.6 per cent and it is the third vaccine to be approved for use in India.
The Global Head of Custom Pharma Services at Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Deepal Sapra received the first dose of Sputnik V in Hyderabad.
The doses of Sputnik V which are made in India are likely to be cheaper. The Hyderabad-based drug maker said it will work closely with stakeholders in the government and private sector in India to ensure the widest possible reach of the vaccine.
Earlier on Thursday, Union Health Ministry announced that Sputnik V shall be available in markets across the country early next week.
