New Delhi: The Delhi Police Special Cell successfully extradited Sachin Bishnoi, one of the accused in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, from Baku, Azerbaijan. The extradition was carried out with the cooperation of a team of security agencies dispatched to Azerbaijan to apprehend the gangster.

Special Commissioner of Police, Delhi, Hargobinder Singh Dhaliwal, confirmed the successful extradition of Sachin Bishnoi. The accused had been evading arrest since the tragic murder of the popular singer in May of the previous year, escaping the country using a forged passport.

A joint team, comprising four officers, including an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) and two Inspectors from the Counter Intelligence Unit, were entrusted with the task of securing Sachin Bishnoi’s extradition to India. They reached Azerbaijan and accomplished the mission, bringing him back to face justice.

Sachin Bishnoi’s connection to the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case has been under intense investigation ever since the incident occurred. His apprehension and extradition are expected to yield vital revelations in the murder case.

Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was tragically shot dead in Jawaharke village of Mansa district on May 29, 2022. The following day, Goldy Brar, a prominent member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, had confessed in a Facebook post that he masterminded the murder to avenge the killing of another gangster. The police later identified Brar as the key orchestrator behind the heinous crime.
