People pay last respects to eminent Santoor player Pandit Shivkumar Sharma

Mumbai: In an unfortunate turn of events, Indian music composer and santoor player Pandit Shivkumar Sharma breathed his last yesterday. The music maestro passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest.

He was also suffering from kidney-related issues for the past six months and was on dialysis. Pandit Shivkumar Sharma died in Mumbai at the age of 84.

Many people paid their last respects to eminent Santoor player Pandit Shivkumar Sharma at his residence in Mumbai today.

Soon after his passing away, many influential personalities from the country offered their condolences including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, composer Vishal Dadlani, actor Manoj Bajpayee, and many others.

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan and his wife Jaya Bachchan were also spotted attending the funeral today at his residence in Mumbai.

The funeral of the music maestro Pandit Shivkumar Sharma will commence at 3 pm today at Vile Parle’s Pawan Hans Crematorium.
