New Delhi: The Lok Sabha session was adjourned till 2 p.m. today following protests by Opposition parties over the issue of violence in Manipur.
As the session began, members from Congress, DMK, TMC, JD(U), and other parties trooped into the well, raising slogans and demanding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement on the matter.
Despite appeals from the Presiding Officer to return to their seats, the protesting members continued their demonstration.
The Presiding Officer attempted to conduct the Question Hour amidst the pandemonium but faced resistance. Consequently, the House was later adjourned till 2 p.m. to address the situation.
