International Art of Giving Day celebrated in Kolkata with much enthusiasm

Kolkata: The International Art of Giving Day has been celebrated in different parts of neighbouring state West Bengal capital Kolkata today with people’s overwhelming participation.

Contributors distributed ‘Bag of Happiness’ to hundreds of underprivileged children at the Kadapara event in the city and lend their helping hand towards education. Expressing their gratitude towards KIIT ande KISS founder Dr Achyuta Samanta for giving birth to such a beautiful concept the social workers present there claimed that it encourages and inspires them.

Similarly, another Art of Giving event was held at Maniktala Ashram premise where packets filled with books, pencils, pens, erasers and colour boxes were handed over to kids. Happiness of the children who got the Bag of Happiness on the occasion knew no bounds as all were seen pleasant mood to mingle in such a once in a year event.

In Titagarh areas where a sizeable amount of Odia migrants live in slum dwellings, a separate Art of Giving Day was celebrated. People from all walks of life reached the spot and distributed educational items to around 60 children.

Contributors at Titagarh hailed the effort of Dr Samanta and insisted that all should try to inculcate the spirit of the KIIT founder within them, which is a need of the hour.
