India reports 25,072 Covid positives, 389 deaths in last 24 hours

New Delhi: India registered 25,072 daily Covid cases in the last 24 hours, said the Covid bulletin released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Monday taking the tally to 3,24,49,306.

As many as 389 patients have succumbed to Covid-19, due to which death toll in the country stands at 4,34,756.

India has achieved the recovery rate of 97.63 per cent. As per the data, total 44,157 patients were discharged from the hospitals and health centres in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cured to 3,16,80,626 till date in India.

The active caseload currently stands at 3,33,924. The active caseloads constitute 1.01 per cent of total cases, as per the bulletin released by the health ministry.

The weekly positivity rate remains below 3 per cent and is currently at 1.91 per cent. The daily positivity rate currently stands at 1.94 per cent.

Meanwhile, a total of 7,95,543 people have been vaccinated in last 24 hours taking the total to 58,25,49,595 doses being administered, said the bulletin released by the ministry.

As many as 50,75,51,339 samples have been collected up-to August 22 including 12,95,160 samples in the last 24 hours, informed ICMR.
