Human trafficking busted at Delhi airport, 4 AI staffers, flyer arrested

Four Air India staffers and a passenger was arrested at the Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport for their alleged involvement in a human trafficking racket

New-Delhi: Four Air India staffers and a passenger was arrested at the Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport for their alleged involvement in a human trafficking racket.

The four AI staffers has been identified as Rohan Verma, Mohammad Jahangir, Akshay Narang and Yash.

Reports say, Diljot Singh, who was supposed to board a UK flight was roaming at the airport. the CISF personnel suspected something fishy and scanned through the CCTV footage and found that the immigration officials found his documents to be doubtful and did not allow him to travel.

The officials then asked him to clarify with the airline officials, but instead of approaching the staff he did contact the AISATS officer.

Later, after enquiry it was learnt that the check-in formalities were done by Air India staff Rohan based on the wrong documents. When Rohan was questioned, it was found that three others Jahangir, Akshay Narang and Yash also took Rs 40,000 each from Singh.

Then these men were handed over to Delhi police as they had confessed that they took money from passengers to board them illegally.

The CISF officials then confirmed that the incident was about human trafficking.
