Ex-Telangana Chief Minister KCR recovering after hip surgery for fracture
The condition of Ex-Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who had undergone a hip surgery for a fracture, is stable and recovering.
Telangana: Former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is recovering and his condition is stable after the hip surgery. The The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief got a fracture due to a fall at his residence and had to go under surgery at Yashoda hospital on Saturday.
The doctor has shared that the 69-year-old leader “is medically stable.” The hospital in a post-surgery update informed that he is pain-free and has rested well through the day. He is being continuously assessed and monitored by the multi-disciplinary team of doctors.
Moreover, KCR was also made to walk as per the medical procedure. The hospital added, “As per standard international practice guidelines of early ambulation, which prescribe that the patient be made to walk within 12 hours.” KCR walked under the supervision of the operating orthopedic surgeon and physiotherapy team.
He will also do a set of exercises during his rehabilitation for a speedy recovery. The treating doctors also stated that they are satisfied with the progress of KCR’s health.
KCR was rushed to the hospital after he fall down at his farmhouse in Erravalli on December 8. Rao quit as chief minister on December 3 after his party’s defeat in the recent Assembly elections.
