Chhattisgarh Announces Categories Of People Including Journalists & Lawyers As Frontline Workers

Raipur: The Chhattisgarh government has announced categories of people to be considered as front-line workers those who will be prioritized for Covid-19 vaccination.

The journalists and lawyers of the state will be considered as frontline workers and their families will be prioritized for the vaccination as well, said Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.

All the people with comorbidities, food providers, vegetable sellers, bus drivers/conductors, Anganwadi workers, Mitanins, Panchayat workers, PDS shop managers, women in Institutional care, state government employees, state PSU employees and their families will be in the priority category, informed Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Office.

Besides, all those who are working in old age homes, women care centers & child care, crematoriums, persons with disabilities, all those who are working semi government institutions providing essential services and any other category of persons will also be included in the list of frontline worker category as defined by the state government, added CMO.

Earlier, only healthcare personnel, policemen and some government staff were being considered as frontline workers for vaccination against Covid-19.
