At least 11 jawans killed by naxals in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada

At least 11 jawans have been killed in an explosion carried out by Naxals in Chattisgarh’s Dantewada, sources said.

Chhattisgarh: At least 11 jawans including 10 DRG (District reserve guard) jawans and a driver have been killed in an explosion carried out by Naxals in Chattisgarh’s Dantewada, according to sources.

On Wednesday afternoon, Naxals attacked a patrolling party on Aranpur Road in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada.

The number of casualties has yet to be verified by authorities.

Last week, naxals threatened through a letter to attack security forces, sources said.

On reports of an IED attack by naxals on security personnel in Dantewada, claiming the lives of 11 personnel, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel says, “There is such information with us. It is very saddening. My condolences to the bereaved families. This fight is in its last stage. Naxals won’t be spared.”
