Army chopper crash: 11 Feared Dead!

Bhubaneswar/Chennai: As many as 11 dead bodies have been recovered from the spot of the chopper crash said sources.

According to ANI, 14 people were on-board the military chopper that crashed between Coimbatore and Sulur in Tamil Nadu.

An Army helicopter with Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat crashed in Tamil Nadu’s Coonoor on Wednesday.

According to reports, emergency teams were rushed to the spot with immediate effect.

Three people have been rescued so far while a search is on for the others

The three who have been rescued suffered serious injuries and have been taken to Wellington cantonment in Nilgiris district.

ANI reports that CDS Bipin Rawat, his staff and some family members were in the Mi-series chopper that crashed between Coimbatore and Sulur in Tamil Nadu.

I have reached here (chopper crash site) on the instructions of the CM. Out of the 14 people on board, five people have died and the situation of two others is critical. Rescue operation is underway said the Tamil Nadu Forest Minister K Ramachandran.
