ACB conducts raid on HDMA ex-director Shiva Balakrishna, seize properties worth Rs 100 crore

The ACB has recovered properties worth Rs 100 crore during multiple raids in connection with Telangana official Shiva Balakrishna.

Telangana: In recent news, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has recovered properties worth Rs 100 crore during multiple raids in connection with Telangana official Shiva Balakrishna. The personnel have also recovered unaccounted cash of Rs 40 lakh.

Currently, the raids are underway at 16 different locations. 18 teams of ACB have been formed for the operation. The seized properties include gold, mobile phones, bank deposits, residences, etc.

Reports from reliable sources state that the family members of Balakrishna are yet to cooperate with the proceedings of the search operation. Currently, the assigned teams are going through the lockers and assets of Balakrishna.

It is noteworthy mentioning that Shiva Balakrishna is the secretary of the Telangana State Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TSRERA) and also the former director of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA).
