Uttar Pradesh: In a tragic incident, 12 people lost their lives in a road accident in Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. The accident took place during the early hours of Thursday on Farrukhabad road under limits of Allahganj police station, said reliable reports in this regard.
Reportedly, a speeding dumper collided with a passenger carrying auto rickshaw on Thursday morning.
Reliable reports state that the victims were going for Ganga snan when the accident occurred due to low visibility caused by dense fog. The dumper has been seized by officials from the nearby police station.
The identities of the deceased in the road accident in Shahjahanpur are yet to be ascertained.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed deep sorrow over the incident. He even offered condolences to the families of the deceased. He has also directed the concerned officials to initiate a detailed probe into the matter and extend all possible help to the families of the deceased.
