4 killed after massive fire breaks out at hardware shop in Pune’s Pimpri Chinchwad

Four members of a family were killed in a fire that broke out in a hardware shop in the Pimpri Chinchwad early Wednesday.

Pune: In a devastating incident, four members of a family were killed in a fire that broke out in a hardware shop in the Pimpri Chinchwad early Wednesday.

Firefighters suspect that the blaze was triggered by an electrical short-circuit inside the hardware shop located in the Shahu Nagar area of Chinchwad.

According to details provided by officials from the Pimpri Chinchwad fire brigade, the fire started in the shop at approximately 5:25 am.

Rushikant Chipade, a member of the Pimpri Chinchwad fire brigade, conveyed that after successfully extinguishing the flames, four individuals residing in a makeshift annexe constructed within the shop were discovered lifeless.

The victims have been identified as Chimnaram Benaram Chaudhari, 48, his wife Namrata, 40, and their two sons, Bhavesh, 25, and Sachin, 13.

The family hailed from Pali in Rajasthan and ran a hardware store called Sachin Hardware and Electricals in Shahunagar.
