1 Mumbai cop dies of Covid-19, 120 policemen test positive in last 24 hours

Mumbai: Amid the rising Covid cases including Omicron variant in Maharashtra’s capital, over 100 Mumbai policemen have tested positive for the deadly virus in last 24 hours.

Reportedly, one policeman has also succumbed to Covid-19 in last 24 hours.

As per the reports till Monday, 114 police personnel and 18 senior officers including 13 Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCPs), four Additional Commissioner of Police (CPs) and one Joint CP (Level Officer) have tested COVID-19 positive and two cops died in two days.

As many as 125 policemen succumbed to the virus so far, added reports. It is to be noted Mumbai registered 13,648 cases on Monday.
