Tata motors is all set to launch an affordable compact SUV in the Indian market very soon. The compact SUV of Tata is codenamed HBX by the company.
It can be easily assumed that Tata motors is planning to rebuild its image in the Indian market as its new vehicles like Harrier, Safari, Nexon stood at large contrast with older ones.
The Tata HBX which was last seen in a Auto Expo seems to be a entry-level SUV and is roughly of the size of Tiago.
The HBX will be a five-seater vehicle is predicted to be priced between Rs. 5 lakh and Rs 7.5 lakh. The vehicle will have a Agile Light Flexible Advanced Architecture (ALFA) and will have a high ground clearance as compared to the vehicles in the segment.
The SUV will be equipped with sharp headlamps, LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL), roof rails and other features which will make it an adventure friendly vehicle. Under the hood the vehicle will be powered by 1.2-litre petrol engine. The exact power that the vehicle will produce remains unknown.
On the interior the vehicle gets an infotainment screen with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and at least two air bags.

The HBX which seems to meet the likes of adventure enthusiasts under Rs 10 lakh budget is assumed to compete with Ford Freestyle, Mahindra KUV 100, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.

I was just comparing the vehicle sizes and your claim of this vehicle will be roughly the size of Tiago doesn’t match any spec released so far.
