Bhubaneswar: As the state continued to remain under the grip of severe heat wave conditions, Odisha government on Tuesday further extended summer vacations till June 25.
Informing about the reschedule of the summer vacations, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that all the government and non-government schools across the state will reopen on June 26 instead of June 21 as the mercury is soaring high for the last several days.
The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) also informed this though a twitter post.

Earlier on June 16, the School and Mass Education Department had extended the summer vacation to June 21 due to sudden rise in temperature. The schools were to be reopened on June 18.
More than 15 places of the state recorded eight degrees more than the normal temperature yesterday following which the day temperature hovered above 40 degree Celsius.
