Kader Khan’s death makes void in cinematic world

Kader Khan has left the cinematic world in a void. He passed away early Tuesday. The actor breathed his last in a hospital in Canada where he was living with his son and daughter-in-law for the last few years. He was 81.

Personal Life

Kader Khan was an Afghan-born Indian Canadian film actor, screenwriter. He was born on October 22, 1937, in Kabul, Afghanisthan.

The actor has appeared in more than 300 films. He made his debut in 1973 film Daag, starring Rajesh Khanna. His involvement in movies begun as a narrator (for Hindi) for Fajr Al Islam.

Professional Career

Kader Khan has written dialogues for about 250 films. He was known for his dramatized and strong dialogues. It is known that forRotiRajesh Khanna was so impressed with Khan, that he asked Manmohan Desai to pay him one lakh twenty-one thousand Rupees; an extremely handsome at that poin of time.

He has worked with named and famed actors such as Rajesh Khanna, Jeetendra, Feroz Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor,Govinda, Sri Devi, Jayaprada, Shakti Kapoor, Johny Lever to name a few.

Kader Khan was almost always present in films made by Director David Dhawan.

As a screenwriter he worked for both Manmohan Desai and Prakash Mehra in films starring Amitabh Bachchan. Apart from Bachchan, Kader Khan was theonly other person to do that.

Awards and Accolades

He has won ten Filmfare awards for Best Comedian Award and two Filmfare awards for Best Dialogues.

Khan was recognized by the AFMI (American Federation of Muslims from India) for his achievement and service to the Muslim community in India.

Khan was famous for his dialogue delivery. His throw was something that any aspiring actor needs to learn. The veteran actor’s timings were so on point that even experienced actors would stumble. His emotional lines brought tears to eyes and his comedy made all of us laugh.

Illness and Death

Kader Khan was hospitalised in a Canadian hospital. He had respiratory problems. He was transferred from normal ventilator to BiPAP ventilator on December 28, 2018.

Last updates said that he had stopped talking and had signs of pneumonia. The actor suffered from the Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) ailment. It is a degenerative disease involving slow deterioration and loss of specific volumes of the brain.
