Bhubaneswar: The trailer of ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekh Toh Aisa Laga’ released on December 27. Anyone who has watched the trailer, would have guessed by now that the movie is about forbidden homosexual love. Sonam Kapoor seems to play a closet lesbian.
A leading daily reported that South actress Regina Cassandra will be playing Sonam Kapoor’s love interest in the film. Regina Cassandra is a very popular name in the South and has done many films in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. This will be her debut in Hindi movies.
Even though the trailer never directly mentions homosexual bits, the subtle hints are too hard to miss. The trailer also showed the disputes in a fragile Father-Daughter relationship.
The trailer seems to give a fresh take on homosexual relationships; and not just as a caricature in previous mainstream movies.

This is the first time that real-life father-daughter Anil Kapoor and Sonam will essay their characters essaying the same.
The film also stars Rajkummar Rao, Juhi Chawla, and Regina Cassandra. It has been directed by Shelly Chopra Dhar and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
