South cinema’s superstar Thalapathy Vijay was hit with a slipper by an unidentified person at the funeral of actor-politician Vijayakanth. Currently, video of the incident is going viral over the internet, gaining negative reaction of Vijay’s fans.
Vijayakanth passed away at a private hospital in Chennai after testing positive for Covid-19 on December 28. During the funeral of Vijayakanth, Thalapathy Vijay visited his place to pay his last respect to the actor-politician.
The video revealed Vijay getting mobbed by fans and supporters who also arrived to pay tribute to Vijayakanth. Vijay is seen making his way through a sea of cameramen and reporters, to reach the mortal remains of Vijayakanth.
During the funeral, Vijay was seen being emotional and was in tears while speaking to Vijayakanth’s family members. Following this, Vijay made his way towards his car, when a slipper was thrown at him. The security of the actor quickly caught it and threw it back to where it came from.
Soon after the video went viral over the internet, netizens slammed at those who mistreated Vijay. Meanwhile, a section of social media users claimed the video to be fake.
The slipper is real. Vijay fans shamelessly attempting to fake it, with a strong PRO team in X and influential CDP editors. Can’t you see the slipper ? Just accept and move on.
