Tamil star Vijay files court case against his parents and 9 others

Tamil superstar Vijay has filed a civil lawsuit against 11 people, including his parents. Vijay’s parents are filmmaker SA Chandrasekar and Shobha.

The case was registered in a city court, according to which the actor has mentioned that no one is allowed to use his name to organise public meetings and gatherings.

Vijay filed the lawsuit because his father publicized his interests in politics and went ahead to register a party on his name without his consent. His mother was made the treasurer of the party while a relative of his named Padmanabhan stood as the party president.

The Beast actor clarified in a statement that he did not grant permission to anyone to start any party. Therefore, he filed the lawsuit against 11 people, including his parents, to restrict them from using his name.

On September 27, the case will be heard on the city court.

On work front, Vijay’s Tamil thriller movie Beast is lined up for release. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar the movie also stars Pooja Hegde marking her return to Tamil cinema after a long gap.
