Saif Ali Khan’s Ravan look in Adipurush sparks meme fest on twitter

People who have already seen the movie have been amused by the modern Ravan, who also wears t-shirts and has a trendy haircut.

Om Raut’s most anticipated movie, Adipurush, starring Prabhasm Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan, released on June 16, has taken the box office by storm. Released in major Indian languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malyalam, and Kannada, this year’s much-hyped film. Before its release, Adipurush received several backlashes for its poor visual effects and caricature look of Ravan, who is being played by Saif Ali Khan. And now again, the movie is brutally trolled by Ravan’s trendy look.

While everyone is praising Adipurush, some people are also harshly criticising the film for its shoddy plot, cringe-worthy dialogue, and Saif Ali Khan’s performance. Twitter has exploded with Adipurush memes, and trust us, they are hilarious.

People who have already seen the movie have been amused by the modern Ravan, who also wears t-shirts and has a trendy haircut. His floating heads VFX have also sparked funny reactions.

One wrote, “#SaifAliKhan raavan is still same with same poor VFX.” One commented, “Ravan is wearing black T-shirt in war”, “Didn’t know there were Salons during Ramayana time”, said another. “New generation Barber for haircut of ravan and his team”, wrote one.

A tweet read, “They couldn’t fit all 10 heads of Ravan all together in VFX but a cartoon could?” One person’s tweet said, “Ravan ka Itna apmaan toh kabhi Ram ne bhi nahi kiya. #VFX2023”, “Why does Ravan have the Kurla chhapri tiktoker haircut?” one commented.

Fans also took to social media to call out the makers for ‘tapoori’ dialogues for Lord Hanuman and Ravana’s character in the film.

Taking to the Twitter, many expressed how some of the dialogues are cringe, like, “Jo hamari behno ko haath lagayenge, unki lanka laga denge,” “Teri bua ke bageecha hai jo hawa khane aa gaya?” and “Jali na teri? ab aur jalegi.”

In another scene, Indrajeet asks Hanuman, “jali kya? (Is it burning). To this Hnauman responds, “kapda tere baap ka, tel tere baap la……Jalegi bhi tere baa ki (the cloth and oil belong to your father, his will burn).”

Adipurush was released across 6500 screens in India, one of the widest releases for any Indian film. Despite the mixed reviews, Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan’s starrer Adipurush has made Rs 37.25 crore on its first day of release.
