Ranbir Kapoor to take break from acting for 6 months, Here’s why

Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor recently had a heart to heart conversation with his fans via a Zoom call. Therein, the actor dropped a surprising piece of news. Ranbir Kapoor disclosed that he is taking a break from acting for a period of six months. This comes after his wish to spend some quality time with his daughter Raha.

While Ranbir Kapoor will take on the ‘daddy duty’, his wife Alia Bhatt will be busy shooting for her upcoming film ‘Jigra.’ Raha, their bundle of joy, was born on November 6, 2022, following their wedding in April 2022.

In this candid conversation, Ranbir Kapoor revealed that he will not be signing up for any new films after ‘Animal.’ He even shared that his current priority is Raha, as has already missed out on the precious moments during her early months due to his hectic schedule. Ranbir Kapoor shared that he is now determined to make up for the same by dedicating the six month acting break to being a hands-on dad.

Ranbir Kapoor further expressed his desire for paternity leave and shared how thrilled he is that he got it just at the right time. He could not stop gushing about Raha’s growth, saying she’s become more expressive and keeps crawling around. He further said that Raha now recognizes faces and is even attempting to sat ‘Pa’ and ‘Ma’. The actor even expressed how he is relishing every moment of this beautiful phase with his daughter.

As far as his professional front is considered, Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for the release of his next film ‘Animal.’ In the film, he will share the screen space with Rashmika Mandanna and Anil Kapoor. ‘Animal’ is set to hit the theatre screens on December 1. In the film, Anil Kapoor plays the character of Ranbir’s father while Rashmika Mandanna will be seen essaying the role of Ranbir’s love interest.

Boby Deol will be seen stepping into the shoes of the antagonist. ‘Animal’ is supported by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar’s T-series, Cine1 Studios, and Bhadrakali Pictures. Apart from ‘Animal,’ Ranbir Kapoor also has the epic drama ‘Ramayana’ included among his future projects.
