‘Pratikshya’ named best Odia feature film at 69th National Film Awards

Ollywood movie ‘Pratikshya’ was named as the best Odia feature film at 69th National Film Awards as the jury announced the winners for the year 2021 today. 

New Delhi: Ollywood movie ‘Pratikshya’ (The Wait) was named as the best Odia feature film at 69th National Film Awards as the jury announced the winners for the year 2021 today.

‘Pratikshya’ is based on a short story written by Gourahari Das and directed by Anupam Patnaik. Roshan Bisoi is the script writer. Dipanwit Dashmohapatra-BarshaPatnaik has appeared as the lead pair while the other major roles have been played by Choudhuri Jayprakash Das, Siddhant Mohapatra and others.

According to reports, producer Amiya Patnaik Productions and Director Anupam Patnaik will receive the Rajat Kamal and Rs 1,00,000 each.

Pratikshya was released on December 2 in 2022 and received an overwhelming response from the audience. The movie also had bagged the best story award in the 11th Annual DC South Asian Film Festival held in Washington DC, USA in November 2022.

Impressed by the story of Pratikshya, veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher had also announced the Hindi remake of the film at the 53rd edition of International Film Festival of India (IFFI)-2022 in Goa.

Apart from Pratikshya, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect bagged the best Feature Film while Ek Tha Gaon by Srishti Lakhera won the best Non-feature Film Award.

South superstar Allu Arjun won the best actor award for Pushpa (The Rise Part 1) while Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon became joint winners of Best Actress Award.

Likewise, Pankaj Tripathi got the Best Supporting Actor while Pallavi Joshi wins Best Supporting Actress Award.
