KwK8 latest episode: Alia Bhatt responds to Ranbir being labelled ‘Toxic’ on internet

In the latest ‘Koffee with Karan 8’ episode, Alia Bhatt addressed rumors about her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, being labelled ‘toxic’ and a ‘red flag’ on the internet. Earlier, Alia had shared that Ranbir preferred her natural lip share and asked her to remove lipstick whenever they went out. This had caused an uproar on social media, with netizens criticising Ranbir.

On the show, Alia defended Ranbir, stating that he is in fact the complete opposite of toxic. She expressed her concern about the controversy, mentioning that things were taken out of context. Alia Bhatt also highlighted that there are more significant issues in the world to focus on. She also shared Ranbir’s perspective, saying he told her that the audience can say whatever they want as long as her movies are doing well.

For the unversed, the controversy stemmed from a lipstick tutorial where Alia mentioned Ranbir’s preference for her natural lip color. This led to online criticism, with users advising against such behaviour in relationships.

On the work front, Alia Bhatt is currently occupied in filming ‘Jigra.’ Notably, she is both producing and starring in it. The film is set to release on September 27, 2024.

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for the release of ‘Animal’ on December 1. In the film, he will be seen sharing the screen with Rashmika Mandanna and Bobby Deol. ‘Animal’ is backed by T-series, Cine1 studios, and Bhadrakali Pictures. Additionally, Ranbir also has the epic drama ‘Ramayana’ in his line of upcoming projects.
