Jackie Chan’s stunt coordinator to choreograph ‘Commando’ series

The renowned martial arts legend Jackie Chan's stunt choreographer, Andy Long, has been enlisted to choreograph OTT series 'Commando'.

New Delhi: Filmmaker Vipul Amrutlal Shah has enlisted the renowned martial arts legend Jackie Chan’s stunt choreographer, Andy Long, from Germany, to work on his upcoming OTT series ‘Commando’.

Andy Long, known for his exceptional work with Jackie Chan in ‘Chinese Zodiac’, as well as other blockbuster movies like ‘Inception’, ‘In Bruges’, and ‘The Constant Gardener’, will be responsible for choreographing the action sequences in the Commando series.

The franchise, which began in 2013 with ‘Commando: A One-Man Army’ starring Vidyut Jammwal, has garnered a loyal fanbase of action enthusiasts over the years.

To elevate the web series to a visual spectacle, Vipul Amrutlal Shah has decided to shoot it with the same equipment used in movies.

The series introduces newcomer Prem Parrijaa in the lead role of ‘Commando’, alongside the charismatic Adah Sharma, who will deliver an adrenaline-pumping performance in a high-octane role.

Set against a backdrop of valor, patriotism, and intense action, the ‘Commando series follows the protagonist, Commando Prem, as he embarks on an extraction mission to protect his nation and his brother Commando, amidst a nefarious plan and a bio-war.

The action-thriller also features talented actors Vaibhav Tatwawadi, Shreya Singh Chaudhry, Amit Sial, Mukesh Chhabra, and Ishteyak Khan in pivotal roles.

Produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s Sunshine Pictures, the series is directed and created by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, with co-production by Aashin A Shah.

‘Commando’ is set to premiere on August 11, exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar.
