BTS Jimin has become the fastest K-pop soloist to reach one billion streams on Spotify (male) in just 393 days

K-pop superband BTS member Jimin has become the fastest K-pop soloist to reach one billion streams on Spotify (male) in just 393 days. With this achievement, he has broken the previous Guinness World Record in the same category held by his bandmate Jungkook, just two months ago.

Notably, it took Jungkook 409 days aka 16 days longer than Jimin to reach the milestone.

Jimin’s six-track EP FACE was uploaded to Spotify on 24 March. Along with this, his singles “With You” (feat. Ha Sung-woon), “VIBE” (TAEYANG feat. Jimin), “Set Me Free Pt. 2” and “Angel Pt. 1” (feat. Kodak Black, NLE Choppa, JVKE & Muni Long) added to his success.

He also had a five-track EP titled Like Crazy and even released singles “Promise” (2018) and “Christmas Love” (2020) exclusively on Soundcloud.

On the other hand, Jungkook who set the record two months ago had only three songs released to the public.

Despite not releasing music as a group for a while, BTS has continued to break records in 2023. Their music has been streamed a massive 31,960,000,000 times as of March 3, making them the most streamed male group on Spotify.

The group is claimed to reunite by the end of 2025- after their mandatory military service.
