Mumbai: Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are truly an adorable couple. Since the last couple of days, there have been rumours of Anushka and Virat expecting their first child. There were claims that this is the reason why Anushka is not announcing any new project. However, the actress has stated that these rumour are silly, absurd and have left her amused.
Responding to all such rumours in her latest interview with a leading daily, Anushka said, “That (spreading rumours) is something people will do anyway. It’s completely unnecessary and silly as you ultimately can’t hide such a thing. You can hide a marriage but not pregnancy. I feel every female actor goes through it, so people marry you off even before you are hitched and make you a mother before you are pregnant. I don’t pay attention to it, and just laugh these things off since I find them hilarious. When I read about such stuff, I think, ‘where do such absurd things come from? Right now, I’m literally working round-the-clock”.
Notably, Anushka Sharma tied the knot with beau Virat Kohli on December 11 last year. Reports stated that the couple plans to ring in their first year anniversary in Australia where Virat will begin playing the Test series tomorrow onwards.

On the work front, Anushka is gearing up for the release of her film ‘Zero’ where she stars alongside her ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ co-stars Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. In the film, she plays the role of Aaafiya Yousafzai, a scientist who suffers from cerebral palsy. Directed by Aanand L Rai of ‘Raanjhanaa’ fame, Zero is slated to release on December 21.
