This incident of Alia Bhatt’s deepfake video adds to a series of similar controversies. The latest one was a deepfake video of Bollywood actress Kajol. Therein, the original clip featured influencer Rosie Breen. But the deepfake video replaced her face with that of Kajol, showing the actress changing clothes on camera as a part of the ‘Get Ready With Me’ trend.
The rise of such concerns comes after a manipulated video of South Indian actress Rashmika Madanna also went viral. The misuse of deepfake technology has become a serious issue in the world of entertainment.
