Vodafone introduces new Rs 1699 unlimited plan

Set to give competition to unlimited plans of Airtel, BSNL and Jio

New Delhi: Telecom giant Vodafone is offering a Rs 1699 unlimited plan for its customers. It has promised to give its users the same benefits as of Airtel, BSNL and Jio at a similar price.

The Rs 1699 plan offers unlimited offnet and onnet calls; both local and STD. On top of this users also get 1GB of 3G/4G data, post which it will be chargeable. The Rs 1,699 also gives subscribers access to various Vodafone Play services such as Live TV, movies, music and more. Additionally, Vodafone users also get 100 SMS per day.

The motive of Vodafone is quite evident behind the launch of Rs 1699 unlimited plan. The company very obviously wants to give a tough competition to Airtel and Jio in terms of pricing and benefits.

Airtel’s Rs 1699 also offers 1GB 4G data per day as well as unlimited calls and messages. Reliance Jio also offers an annual plan for its prepaid subscribers. However, Jio users get to enjoy 1.5GB (4G) of data per day along with complimentary access to Jio apps. BSNL also offers a Rs 1,699 plan but offers 2GB of 3G data per day alongside unlimited calls and messages.
