Since its advent in India, South Korean automaker Kia has sold its cars like hot cakes. However, recently the automobile manufactures have discontinued some of the models of Kia Seltos and Kia Sonet. The move by the company comes as a step to introduce newer models of the Sonet and Seltos.

The new models of Kia of Sonet and Seltos are yet to be unveiled by the company. However, according to a recently leaked document sent by Kia to its dealerships across India, it was revealed that two models of Sonet and one model of Seltos were scheduled to be discontinued. The discontinued variant of Sonet are HTK Plus diesel-automatic and the 1.0 turbo-petrol DCT automatic. On the other hand, the discontinued variant of Seltos is HTX Plus 1.5 diesel. According to the notification, the dealers are asked not to take any booking for these models from April 2021. However, the customers who have booked the above mentioned models till end of March 2021 will get the vehicle delivered.

The Kia Sonet HTK Plus diesel-automatic is priced at Rs 10.59 lakh while the Kia Sonet HTK Plus petrol automatic is priced at Rs 10.49 lakh. On the other hand, Kia Seltos HTX Plus 1.5 diesel variant is priced at Rs 13.79 lakh.
