JIO TV To Stream Free Televised India Cricket Matches For 5 Years

New Delhi: As a part of its deal with Star India, Jio TV App will give users access to free India-based televised cricket matches for five years. This new announcement will enable Jio TV users to stream T20, One-day Internationals, test matches, and domestic BCCI tournaments on the Jio TV app. The matches will also be streamed on Hotstar.

For watching televised cricket matches on the Jio TV app, users must possess a Jio number. The app is part of the suite of free content apps that Jio provides to all Prime customers and there are no additional charges for it.The app is available for Android and iOS.

Notably, Reliance Jio has a 4G-only network. As per data released by TRAI, the telecom operator defeated Vodafone and Idea to become the second-largest in the country this July after gaining more than 11 million new users in a single month.

Sharing insights on the Jio-Star partnership, Akash Ambani, Director, Jio said, “Every Indian must have access to the best sporting events as well as quality and affordable bandwidth to consume the content. With this partnership, we intend to address both these objectives of providing the best sporting content with the best digital infrastructure to the Jio users.”
