BSE and NSE to remain shut today due to Ram Mandir event

The BSE and NSE will remain shut today that is January 22 due to the mega Ram Mandir consecration ceremony in Ayodhya.

The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remain closed today that is January 22 due to the mega Ram Mandir consecration ceremony in Ayodhya.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) had made an announced regarding this on last Friday. As per RBI announcement, no transactions and settlements will take place in the Government securities (primary and secondary), foreign exchange, money markets and Rupee Interest Rate Derivatives on January 22.

Moreover, the Government of India and Maharashtra has imposed a half-day closing and a public holiday on the same day, respectively.
